Aarti wants to continue

The pretty damsel won many hearts with her fantastic performance in films. Aarti Agarwal broke many hearts when she got married and put a hold to her film career. The pretty woman is now eager to make a comeback.

She was reported to have said that she is looking forward to playing lead roles as she is still young and pretty.

Sources say that she is also prepared to do item numbers if they meet up to her expectations. Such an open invitation means good news for film makes and producers would be flocking her with offers.

Her entire comeback plan depends on what kind of roles she chooses to play and soon she will be seen in the new movie ‘Neelaveni’.

Kajal and exposing!!!

The beautiful young looking actress Kajal Agarwal is geared up to entertain Tollywood fans in her new movie ‘Magadheerudu’ in combination with Mega powerstar Ramcharan Teja.

Recently, when interviewed on a question about exposing, Kajal’s answer was that glamour was different from exposing. She would prefer outfits which are comfortable and wouldn’t mind as she is exposed to modern life, so facing the screen in such costumes is not a problem.

However, at the end she specified that the dress requirements will be based upon the story needs and she would say ’No’ if exposing is not part of the requirement. Good point Kajal.

‘Magadheera’ audio launched grandly!!!

Finally, it has happened, the audio album release of the film ‘Magadheera’ happened amidst huge fan presence. The music for this has been composed by M M Keeravani and the event had all biggies with the likes of Srinu Vaitla, Nagababu, VV Vinayak, Chinni Krishna, Murugadoss, Srikanth, Ravi Teja, Ali, Sunil, Venu Madhav, Meher Ramesh, Dil Raju, Surender Reddy, Bhaskar, Allu Arjun, Allu Aravind, Srihari, Pawan Kalyan and others.

The event was anchored by Suma and almost all of them spoke briefly giving their best wishes to director S S Rajamouli and team.

There were also entertainment programs with Siva Reddy stealing the limelight.

Finally, it was megastar Chiranjeevi who unveiled the album and as usual he took his own time in sharing his feelings without any hassles. He recalled how he was missing the film industry and how he is a proud father today looking at Charan’s improvement and growth as an actor.

Interestingly, many like Paruchuri, V V Vinayak, Rajamouli etc have strongly urged Chiru to get back to films once again and responding to that, Chiru was in his usual neutral mode which got the fans more curious.

The highlight of the film is said to be the horse chasing sequence and also the remix song ‘Bangaru Kodi Petta…’ which also has Chiru shaking his leg for a scene.

The film is due for release next month.

It’s all Vikram in “Mallana”

Many are aware that Vikram is a talented actor and his stardom is rising. But for the first time in his career, he has sung all his songs in the movie. He has not only sung the Tamil version but according to reports he has rendered his voice for the Telugu version as well.

There are reports that he has done some bull fight like a professional matador and has done some of the risky stunts by himself.

We can also expect to see some of his mimicry talent in the movie. The audio launch has taken place and the movie should be released any time soon. Will this movie catapult Vikram’s popularity in Tollywood is to be seen.

Vikram and Prabhu for Telugu fans…

Vikram has a sizeable following in Andhra as well, where many of his flicks have already been dubbed and released in the past. He has just dubbed for himself in ‘Mallanna’, Kanthaswamy’s Telugu version and has tried his hand in speaking Telugu apart form singing in Telugu as well. The film, which features him and Shriya in the lead, is being directed by Susi Ganesan, apart from being produced by Dhanu’s V Creations.

The film also has Prabhu playing an important role. Interestingly, Prabhu also has a good following in Telugu, and, for the first time, the actor has spoken for himself in the film too.

Said to be a superhero subject, the film has Vikram donning many looks, with Shriya looking her glamourous best. Songs for the flick, scored by Devi Sri Prasad, are already chartbusters. The film is slated for an August release.

Why does Ram Gopal Varma hate Michael Jackson?

New Delhi, June 30: Controversial Indian filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma says he hates pop legend Michael Jackson for dying and making him realise that he was only a human being.
"I hate Michael Jackson. I hate him for dying and making me realise that he is just a human being. I hate that he too has to breathe to live. I hate that he too has a heart which can stop like anybody else`s," Varma posted on his new blog www.rgvzoomin.com.

"I truly truly hate Michael Jackson for becoming a grim reality from a fantastic fantasy," he added.

Just as the world was taken aback with the news of Jackson`s death Thursday following a cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles, so was Varma, for whom the King of Pop was like someone from outer space.

Varma, who has made films like "Satya", "Company", "Sarkar" and "Sarkar Raj", narrated how he was introduced to Jackson`s unique music and dance style during his college days.

"When I was in college in Vijayawada, a friend of mine took me to a video parlour to show Michael Jackson`s `Thriller`. Being constantly fed on a staple diet of Telugu and Hindi songs, I was startled to see the unimaginably high standards of picturisation, choreography and above all I was awe-struck by the sheer personality of Michael Jackson," he wrote.

"I walked out of the parlour in a daze thinking that he cannot be a real person and he has to be some fantasy who somehow has taken a human shape," added Varma.

The filmmaker, who attended Jackson`s 1996 concert in Mumbai along with actors Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan, says it wasn`t just the legend`s "dancing or his singing or even his music, but the sheer power of his presence and the aura around him that swept me away".

"On stage Michael Jackson looked like some being who has come from some other world in outer space as a favour to entertain us for a little while...For me in my mind he was like a creation of god or whatever that thing which creates when in a very special mood as a very very special gift to mankind," he concluded.

Salman not invited to Katrina’s birthday

Bollywood Gossip : Bollywood Actors Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan managed to assure the world that they are still together after Katrina appeared on the latest episode of Dus Ka Dum and Salman sang and danced for her.

While on the one hand, it seems things are going well for the couple, Katrina Kaif recently decided that she will spend her 25th birthday without her beau.

Afterall, it isn’t just Kat’s 25th anniversary, but also the first anniversary of the Salman-SRK fight that had taken place during Katrina’s birthday celebrations.

Some might remember that an inebriated Salman Khan had asked SRK to come on his show Dus Ka Dum, and SRK had refused, leading to a heated exchange of words and reportedly also some violence.

It was Katrina and SRK’s wife Gauri who had to intervene. Pictures of a crying Katrina were all over the media.

As a result, this year, Katrina is looking for some peace and quiet. She was quoted saying she is really looking forward to going home – London – to be with her family.

She said it will be the first time in nine years that her entire family, that is, her parents and their eight children will be together.

Katrina Kaif says she has been working extra hard to be able to make time for this vacation, or as she call it, this necessity.

Kamna back after exams

Kamna Jethmalani has ruled the hearts of many fans with her sexy looks. However her last movie “Andamayina Abaddham” failed at the box office and she was not seen in the industry ever since.

Now the actress seems to be back with more vigor. When asked about her absence, she said that she was busy with her exams for textile designing course. Now with the exams over, she has re-directed her focus on movies.

According to reports, she will get busy with few movies in her kitty soon. Now that should be great news for her fans have been waiting for her for quite some time now. Her forthcoming venture will soon be arriving along with bankable hero Allari Naresh.

Both Kareena and Katrina have sexy bodies, Akshay

Akshay Kumar is one lucky star who has got to act with both Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. He is in a fix as whom to say the better. The stunt hero said that both are wonderful actresses and both of them have sexy bodies.

"Both Kareena and Katrina are really good but who is the better among them depends on their roles in the films. Otherwise, both of them have sexy bodies and are absolutely wonderful actresses," said Akshay when asked to choose his favourite between the two.

Akki has done four films with Katrina and five with Kareena. Now latest in his offering is ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ opposite Kareena Kapoor. "In Kambakkht Ishq, Kareena has performed very well. Her character required to answer back at me and be strong and she has portrayed it in a powerful, yet lovable way. On the other hand, even Katrina was really good in Namastey London. So it's not really about my choice... it all depends on their roles," the actor told.

In the film, Akshay Kumar plays a Hollywood stuntman and some big Hollywood names like Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh are associated with the film.

Katrina Kaif breaks down

Katrina Kaif could not hold her tears on watching her performance in ‘New York’ at a special screening at Yashraj studio. Her performance has impressed her so much that she could not believe that she has actually done this. To Kat, this is the finest performance of her till date.

"It was embarrassing. This has never happened to me before. I was deeply moved by the film. And I couldn't believe what my director Kabir Khan had achieved in my performance. I kept staring at myself. 'That's me!' I exclaimed at the end of the film."

Katrina connects herself with the character she has portrayed in ‘New York’, "So far all my characters have been pretty alien to me. Even the London girl in Chandigarh in Namastey London was not at all like me. But the girl in New York connects deeply with me. Or do I connect with her? It's symbiotic, I think," she says.

Remembering that evening, Katrina says, "It was a very private screening. Only members of the cast, our director, his wife and the producer were there. I've never been so impressed by any of my films. So far they've all been in the orbit of escapist entertainment. New York is my first realistic film. I'm proud of all my films. But this is new chapter in my career."

EVARAINA EPPUDAINA

STARRING : Varun Sandesh, Vimala Raman, Ali, Gir Babu and others
MUSIC : ManisharmaDIRECTOR : Marthand K Shankar
RELEASE DATE : June 26th, 2009

The film Evaraina Epudaina with the tagline Preamalo Padocchu is another teenage romance film. The same old story - boy meets girl, falls in love and then he does some silly and even foolish things, all in the name of love in order to win over her love. Story:Venkat (Varun Sandesh) is a graduate who lives with his brother and his family. Venkat does not do any work and whiles away all his time in the company of friends. He also blackmails his friends and even total strangers and extorts money from them. He comes across Madhumita (Vimala Raman) and falls for her. He gets an opportunity to befriend her when his grandmother is in hospital and Madhumita's grandmother is also in the same hospital. Venkat manages to make a good impression on Madhu. He however hesitates to tell her that he loves her. Just when he wants to propose to her, he wrongly believes that Madhu is being engaged to his best friend. Venkat breaks up the alliance with a wicked pln only to realize that he had made a mistake. Venkat's friend was getting engaged to Madhu's elder sister and not Madhu. The rest of the story is how Venkat goes about trying to undo the damage. In the process Madhumitha even starts hating him. In the climax, all is however forgotten and forgiven. Performance:Varun Sandesh plays out a role of a good for nothing fellow whose only aim is to succeed in his love, by hook or by crook. Sandesh looks every bit the young and carefree college graduate he portrays. He is convincing but it is in the serious and emotional scenes that he fails completely. He needs to work hard in doing serious scenes. Vimala Raman is okay but she does not seem to have too many expressions in her repertoire and keeps repeating the same ones again and again. She has done some hot intimate scenes without showing much inhibition. This may help her to bag a few more films. There is nothing much for the rest of the star cast to do. The lineup of Giri Babu, Rama Prabha, Ali, Kovai Sarala, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Radha Kumari, Surekha Vani and others is used mostly in purely supporting roles. Ali and Venu Madhav try their hand at comedy. Brahmanandam makes a brief two minute guest appearance at the end. Mani Sarma's music is reasonably good and the songs have some fast music that will appeal to the youngsters. The production values are adequate. The director tries to show too many things all at the same time. There is no novelty in the story and the screenplay is also a bit confusing. The film moves in a lighthearted manner in the first half and also follows in a similar pattern for mot part of the second half too. It is only in the last 15 minutes that all the action takes place. Evaraina Epudaina has very limited appeal - it is now up to the target audience, the college students to decide the fate of the film

Sneha’s new experiment

Sneha has acted in many south Indian movies in which a few of them have been offbeat. She is known to try different roles to challenge her performance.
Though she was known to be a girl-next-door type of heroine with a beautiful smile, she was claimed to be doing a completely action oriented role.
Now the latest buzz is that she might be seen in a negative role too. She is scheduled to be a part of a Tamil movie titled “Goa”.
This flick which is likely to be dubbed in Telugu as well is directed by Venkat Prabhu who made the hit “Saroja”. Well now we have to wait and see Sneha’s yet another look.

Kamal Haasan and politics

Politics seems to be the next step for Indian actors especially in south India. Almost all the big stars have political ambitions and most of them have already set their feet into the political arena.
On the other hand legend Kamal Haasan has always stayed away from politics. Kamal is a mysterious actor and has always been reserved with the media approach.
Recently he was questioned about his entry to politics. He replied saying that every profession has some qualification and he does not have the qualification for being a politician. He also made it clear that he will never share his political beliefs on a public platform.

Prakashraj’s habit dies hard

We all know that Prakashraj is a die hard actor and gives his best performance in his movies. However he has a habit that never seems to leave him.
Sources say that he is addicted to smoking and he has been trying hard to quit smoking but in vain. There are some who say that there were days when he was a chain smoker but now he has reduced smoking a lot. Though he is trying to have a good control over his addiction, he is unable to indulge in smoking during stressful working hours.
Well we all wish that this talented actor gets rid of his addiction to ensure he can give more movies to his die hard fans.

Reality shows? No, no, no! : Imran

Some times people have their own way to keep away from making public appearance.
They either might be too shy or particularly not interested.
Imran Khan recently turned down an offer to appear for the most popular reality show Dus ka Dum, sources say. However, the episode was meant to promote his movie ‘Luck’. But the actor was not happy to play for it. Sources said Imran behaved rude and scoffed at the producers and the channel.
He was supposed to share the show with the leading lady of the movie, Shruthi Hassan. But now it seems the actress have to carry on with other leading man of the movie, Sanjay Dutt, for the episode. It is also said that the producers had very tough time to change nannha actor’s mind to accept the invite but Imran appeared too stubborn to listen.
Wonder what’s his concern – Salman or stage

Nasser Bravo!

When you have it in you to do something, then nothing can stop you from achieving it. Confidence and strength of mind can take you great miles. Nasser Khan is one such fine personality who proves that being differently able is not a matter of hindrance. Being visually impaired, Nasser showed exemplary skills during the shoot of his forthcoming movie ‘Shadow – The Dark Side of The Truth’.
Recently, the team was out to shoot a fight scene where the actor had to jump from a burning car while it is in mid-air. It was planned that a body double will be used for the scene. Instead, a sportive Nasser rejected the idea and offered to do the shot himself. Baan Rig, the action director, immediately disapproved it for the scene involved lot of risks. Even the whole crew and director were strictly against and tried to advise Nasser. But the actor didn’t take the negative replies and went ahead to do the stunt. The stunt director kept on giving instructions to guide Nasser throughout the shooting of the stunt and surprisingly Nasser gave an impressive performance in the first take itself!
Under the banner of Great Entertainments, the movie is directed by Rohit Nayyar and produced by Nasser Khan and Shamshad Alam. Starring in the movie besides Nasser are Hrishita Bhatt, Sonali Kulkarni and Milind Soman
Nasser had already made news with his attempts like – he did the dubbing himself and learnt horse riding for the movie!
Looks like Nasser is being followed by a guiding angel like a ‘Shadow’.

Rahman’s homage to Michael Jackson

A.R. Rahman pays tribute to Michael Jackson on his loss. Here is what he had to say about the phenomenal Pop King who has a special space in everyone's heart.
I am shocked at the untimely passing away of Michael Jackson, one of the greatest musicians of our time.
MJ, for most of our generation was an icon who made uncompromising music. He pushed the milestone of Pop music to unbelievable levels through the 80s and 90s. I am yet to find an artist with that energy, perfection and vision.
I met him personally after the Oscars in Los Angeles and we bonded very well. He said that he loved India and the Indian people. He said he heard good things about me and he was praising the chord progression of Jai Ho's chorus.
He was bursting with energy and told me that every dance move he did came from his soul and did a five second stunning example. It was like a lightning strike!
He was concerned about developmental issues such as Global Warming and about wars and its damages to the human community.
He asked me to compose a unity anthem on the likes of "We are the World” for him. I nodded in awe...!
He introduced me to his three lovely bright Kids. The kids told him "I love you dad" and he replied “I love you more” as a proud father. I wished him well for his concerts and he said “God Bless you”.
After hearing the shocking news I wished it was another rumor which would fade away soon. It took me time to believe that he is no more.
I remember my late sound engineer Sridhar had brought me a video of the premiere of "Remember The Time" when I was recording "Kadhal Rojave" for my first movie ‘Roja’. Seeing it inspired all of us that afternoon.
Now, there is no Sridhar and no Jackson anymore.
I hope all of us value people's existence more and respect them when they are alive.
LIFE IS SHORT...! Artists and their art live for ever. Jai Ho, MJ! We love you for your music, regardless of all the controversies

Big B's love for MJ

The world is yet to recover from the loss of King of Pop. Many great personalities have shared their heart felt condolence over the great legendary singer. Here, we have some excerpts from the blog of the Bollywood icon, Amitabh Bachchan, who expressed his views on Michael Jackson and regretted deeply over the singer’s loss. Big B was very much impressed by MJ’s style, “His body moved like a wound up toy machine. Every conceivable action of rhythm and style was incorporated inside his diminutive form without any blemish. The exhilaration that he provided became synonymous with the ultimate. He was the impossible.” It is said that Big B had a brief encounter with MJ, way back in 90s and he was very pleased about the singer’s down-to-earth mannerism, for MJ was “Soft spoken, very humble and most polite.” The megastar also revealed the first time he saw young Michael Jackson and how he grew up to become world’s star icon.
He penned his feeling, “An exceptional artist has gone. Someone who created an almost outer world experience for all of us with his art.”

Michael Jackson mystery over doctor's drug cocktail

Los Angeles County Coroner's investigator Brian Elias said on Saturday that Jackson's family told his office on Friday they want a second autopsy carried out. According to celebrity news website TMZ.com, the new autopsy is already underway at an undisclosed location in Los Angeles. Pictures: King of Pop Michael Jackson Los Angeles coroner's officials said on Friday after an initial autopsy that Jackson's cause of death will not be finalised until the results of toxicology tests are known in several weeks. Preliminary findings said there's no evidence of foul play or external physical injury to Jackson. Jackson's personal doctor will be questioned for a second time by police after allegations the singer was fed a daily cocktail of painkillers that contributed to his death.Reports of Jackson's last days point towards a reliance on Demerol, a powerful painkiller with a track record of causing fatalities if misused.
Some media reports have speculated the star also consumed, on a daily basis, a shopping list of prescription drugs including painkillers, anti-depressants, muscle relaxants and anti-anxiety tablets.
Friend, actor-singer Liza Minnelli, told reporters yesterday "all hell would break loose" when the results of Jackson's autopsy are released.
An autopsy has been conducted in Los Angeles, but the coroner ordered additional tests and said it could be up to a month before results and the cause of death were released.
The investigation into Jackson's death took a unexpected twist yesterday when it emerged physician Dr Conrad Murray – who allegedly had been with Jackson when he lapsed into a coma – was hired by concert promoters to accompany Jackson to London for his comeback tour.
Los Angeles Police Department deputy chief Charlie Beck yesterday said Dr Murray's car was impounded because it may contain evidence linked to Jackson's death.
Mr Beck suggested police were searching for medication. "I'm not commenting on whether anything like that has been found, but that is typically the reason why a physician's vehicle at the scene of a death would be confiscated," he said.
Mr Beck stressed that police had yet to find evidence of criminal activity, and said homicide police were running the case only because of its patient's high profile.
Police were unaware of Dr Murray's location for several hours yesterday before they were able to establish contact, prompting speculation he had fled. They interviewed him yesterday and planned to do so again.
Police want to question Dr Murray specifically about a possible administration of an injection shortly before Jackson lapsed into a coma.
He had frantically tried to resuscitate the 50-year-old before a staffer in the home where Jackson was staying called 911 for emergency help.
It is understood Dr Murray refused to put his name on the death certificate and Jackson was not officially declared dead until he was taken to the hospital, nearly an hour later. The LAPD yesterday seized Dr Murray's BMW as part of the investigation, believing it may contain drugs or other evidence.
Those close to Jackson say it had become clear that he was reliant on painkillers as he prepared for a gruelling comeback.
Yesterday, LAPD detectives met with Jackson's family at his $100,000-a-month rented home where he had based himself as he prepared for his tour, due to start on July 13.
The LA County Coroner's Office yesterday confirmed Jackson was a prescription drug user, but could not say which drugs were present in his system. That would be left for the toxicology reports, which would take four to six weeks.
But other sources said friends knew of up to nine medications Jackson had taken in recent times.
Chief investigator for the office, Craig Harvey, said there was no evidence of trauma or foul play.
"There will be no final ruling as to the cause and manner of death until requested tests results have been received and reviewed in context with the autopsy findings," Mr Harvey said.
Jackson's body has been cleared for release to his family, who are now making funeral plans.
New-age spiritual guru and close friend Deepak Chopra confirmed Jackson suffered from an addiction to prescription drugs, including the painkillers Demerol and Oxycontin.
"I think it (drug addiction) was responsible for his death, not just contributed," he told CNN.
Jackson's cocktail of drugs is believed to have included:
• Demerol – a narcotic painkiller he received via injection three times a day.
• Dilaudid – a morphine-based painkiller. He took a 3mg pill three times a day.
• Vicodin – he had recently been prescribed this opiate, which is derived from codeine.
• Oxycontin – a powerful opium-based painkiller.
• Soma – a muscle relaxant he took twice a day in 2mg tablets.
• Xanax – he took two 0.5mg tablets of this sedative twice a day.
• Zoloft – an anti-depressant that he took in 100mg doses.
• Paxil – another anti-depressant he took in 20mg pills.
• Prilosec – an over-the-counter heartburn medication.
Some medication was believed to help Jackson mask the aches and pains behind injuries including a broken leg and broken vertebrae suffered after falling off a stage, and pain suffered after his hair caught fire while filming a commercial.
Other medication was believed to help him mask depression caused by child abuse allegations, bad parenting and a withdrawal from the world.

No taking chances now: King Khan

‘Ra 1’ has been put on hold again. Reason – Shah Rukh Khan, the hero of the movie, is actually not fit enough to carry on the movie. The Baadshah of Bollywood experienced a shoulder injury and had not come out of the injury still completely. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, ‘Ra 1’ is a science fiction story and involves lots of action and body strain and so our SRK, who plays a superhero, is not confident to do the movie at present because of his bad shoulder.
After his surgery, SRK started shooting for Karan Johar’s My Name is Khan, which he will soon complete. However, he decided to temporarily put 'Ra 1' on hold as he is required to do some serious action sequences in the film. SRK decided to push 'Ra 1' to 2010 after he recently went for a check-up in the US where he is currently shooting for Karan’s film. After the check-up, SRK felt the time is not right to do the action film as there is quite a high risk that his injury will aggravate if he doesn’t take it easy. Now, SRK has decided to first start Farah Khan’s film ‘Happy New Year’.
It was believed that Shah Rukh was really looking forward to act for this movie but had to give in to his bad health.
Oh, Shah Rukh, we wish you get well soon!
