Kamal better than Bala?

R. Murugan is the new entrant in the list of modern writers jumping into cinema. With ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ as his entry ticket, he has made the world turn around to his dialogues.

Murugan’s dialogue for ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ is a big plus for the film. Significance of his dialogues that touched many sensitive issues with sophistication was also mentioned, at least once in every single review.

In spite of his voguish-cum-refined work in the movie, the hoardings, ads, opening credits and posters of the film did not have the dialogue writer’s name on them. The writer’s close circle is unhappy about the whole story. Kamal who respects talent has shunned Murugan’s name all over, except in the rolling credit that comes after the show.

However Murugan does not seem to bother about all these happening around him, the writer met director Bala yesterday. Heard that Bala was impressed by the serious comedies that was sprinkled in ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ and wanted to meet the talented writer.

It’s worthy to mention that Bala’s ‘Naan Kadavul’ was a clear inspiration of Jayamohan’s ‘Ezhavathu Ullagam’.

“Bala never mention Jayamohan’s name anywhere even for the sake of graciousness, Kamal is far better than him,” was the comment given by Murugan’s buddies.

The writer might as well and may as well choose Kamal over Bala. But all we say - Art can float by itself… What say Murugan?
